Vintage military hat as worn by French infantry chasseurs. This French infantry kepi hat is the standard military hat with its signature black band, crown and silver piping for officers . This kepi hat was issued in the mid-1950s to 1960's. This kepi came from a collection of military items dating from the 1890's up to the 1970's which will be listed shortly.

One of the most distinctive styles of military hats in the world the French Kepi was originally developed from the Casquette d'Afrique worn as a replacement to the shakos in hot climates. A great addition to your military, hat or French collection.

Item measures 21.5“ in circumference by 4“ tall and weighs 5.8oz. Hat size is a 55 equates to a 6 7/8.

CONDITION

In good used condition with signs of use commensurate with age on the inside sweat band(please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
